Presidents Message 2007-08

This Season begins with a big change,  the association is no longer MGGCA and will now be called HSGC.  This year as President of the association I am pleased to know that I am surrounded by strong board members.  I, along with Paula Chausse, Alicia Gomes, and Lori Clark are looking forward to a fantastic season.  We have made some changes to the events that are offered that we believe will make a positive impact on both you and your gymnasts.  As teams begin the season with many practices and meets, please keep in mind there is a goal we all have in common.   We want our gymnasts to become involved and remain involved in the sport of gymnastics because it gives them a sense of pride and achievement.  Let your knowledge of the sport and the knowledge you can gain from this organization provide your gymnasts with the opportunity to grow and develop both in the sport and as individuals.  We are here for you and encourage you to use this organization for your betterment.  Our objective this year remains the same, the HSGC is here to provide educational events for our coaches as well as opportunities for your athletes to be successful.  These experiences were created to support your programs, therefore I'd like to invite you to utilize them.  I can't stress enough the importance of your support.  Our membership dues and fundraising efforts are our only resources to achieve our goals.  We appreciate those coaches who have contributed to our organization and believe in our cause.  I feel very honored to be leading this group of extremely dedicated coaches, but I also want to encourage members to become more involved.  Each member of the board brings their own unique and individual talents to the organization, much like a gymnastics team.  By coming together we believe this year will be the most successful thus far.  With that stated, we also realize we are only as strong as our foundation.  The foundation is each one of you!  We look forward to seeing you at the meetings, educational events, and competitions being provided to you this year.  Please use this website as means to attaining information for this season.  I wish all of you a healthy, productive and winning season.
