Team MA wins 2013 High School National Championships!!!

Tying a meet record with a 150.325, Team Massachusetts edges Illinois and takes the 2013 National High School Gymnastics Championship held in Ft. Myers Beach, FL May 16-19. This amazing team is made up of high school seniors from across the state. In addition to the team win, there were a number of stellar individual performances as eight team members qualified to the event finals. The team dedicated their meet to the victims and survivors of the Boston Marathon Bombings. Through the selling of blue and yellow ribbons, the team was able to raise funds that will be donated to the One Fund.

State Individuals Seeding Meeting- Location Change

Due to blizzard "Nemo" the seeding meeting will now be held at Winthrop High School on Tuesday, Feb 12, 2013 at 10:30am.  Please enter through the front door of the school and someone will be there to direct you to the room.  Make sure that you have your athletes averages and all official score sheets present at the meeting.  

Senior Superbowl

Hope everyone's season has started out great!  Don't forget to sign up your seniors for the Senior Superbowl!  Please try and get your paperowork in early.  Just a reminder in order for your athletes to participate in the Senior Superbowl or State Individuals your coaches dues must be paid in full. 

2012 Carlo Durante Memorial Clinic

 

Hope the season is starting off great for the high schools. I wanted to reach out for help with registrations for the Carlo Durante High School Clinic. Gym Street USA has made their gym available for us on December 27, 2012 from 12-3 for the clinic. The cost is still only $5. Per event and the review sheets have the updated requirements on them (so great time to get feedback on these new rules). The funds go to support the national team!

Annual HSGC Preseason Meeting and Rules Clinic

We will be having our Annual Preseason Meeting in conjunction with a rules clinic being held at the MIAA office on Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 6:00pm-9:00pm.  Kathy Ostberg will be reviewing the rules and addressing any changes to the rule book followed by our brief annual meeting.  Please don't miss out on this great oppertunity!
